Wonder Buhle Mbambo, also known as WonderBuhle, is a South African artist who grew up in rural KwaZulu Natal. The region is the main influence on his paintings, with his main symbol used being the impepho, a sage flower primarily used in Zulu culture as a means to communicate with ancestors and invite them into a space. It's also used to cleanse a space when one feels there are bad spirits occupying it, or even to cleanse one's own body.
