Born in China, Tsang Kin-Wah is an artist who specializes in painting, wallpaper, murals and video art. Tsang had early success through wallpaper art, creating beautiful patterns which, on closer inspection, were revealed to be curse words and profanities. His text-based video art, such as works like “In The End is the Word,” are heavily influenced by his research into philosophy and theology. In our interview with Tsang, he spoke about how important music is to his installations, and why human nature is the most fascinating subject of all. He’s exhibited his work globally, and was the winner of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in 2005.
