Born in Russia, Toma Vagner is an award-winning artist and illustrator based in New York. Toma’s art is influenced by childhood memories, especially the games she played in her youth, such as Rubik’s Cube and Jenga. She’s also inspired by Japanese culture, having been exposed to lots of Asian-Russian culture in her hometown of Sakhalin. We interviewed Toma for WePresent, and she spoke about everything from cartoons to bubble gum wrappers. Toma has been commissioned by the musician Harry Styles, and her clients include the New York Times, Bloomberg, and the New Yorker.
