Simon Wheatley, born in Singapore and based in London, is a photographer renowned for his coverage of city life. Described as one of the most influential UK photographers of the 21st Century, he documented the rise and rise of grime culture for years, culminating in his book “DON’T CALL ME URBAN! The Time of Grime” in 2010. We featured his project “Always and Forever There,” a book published in late 2023, which captured the youth of France’s banlieues in the wake of the country’s 2005 riots.
