Miranda Jill Millen is an artist based in Melbourne, Australia. The self-taught illustrator has a knack for dry comedy, and her drawings are filled with characters in quite remarkable situations yet with deadpan expressions on their faces. We commissioned her to do the illustrations for a series called Unexpected Creativity, in which we spoke to people whose experiences and expertise encourage us to look at the world differently.
