Kyoko Takemura (b. Japan, 1992) is a Berlin-based conceptual artist working primarily with photography, video and found objects. Her work is often centered around our modern consumer society, looking at both the reasons why we consume, and the personality of the objects in question. We featured her project “Born for Such a Time as This,” which explores the way even something as “sacred” of religion can be monetized and profited from.
