Just as South African photographer Kent Andreasen’s client list covers a whole spectrum from Vogue to The British Council to the New Yorker, so the topics and genres explored through his art are diverse and wide-ranging. Kent thinks of taking pictures as most of us would about breathing air: nothing could be more natural. He likes to encourage viewers to create their own narratives from his work – whether a stylized fashion shoot or a landscape by night – and takes pictures whenever and wherever he can. We featured Kent’s work on WePresent and discovered why variety is such an integral aspect of his work.
“The sole driving force in my work has always been the life I lead. Photography is a vessel I use to come to terms with my own reality; I don’t have much of a routine, so I use my work as the grounding force that’s always there.”
