Iwakan is a Japanese magazine founded in October 2020, focused on issues of gender, sexuality and binaries, and the discomfort that often bubbles up around such issues. Having so far printed issues centered around love, masculinity, politics and diversity, the magazine focuses on the ways these themes “inform our daily lives and intersect with every aspect of our society and world,” and is created “with queer people at the center; telling our stories and expanding our understanding.”
