Edward Monaghan is a British illustrator who grew up in Burnham, Buckinghamshire, and it’s here the artist experienced somewhat of a homecoming—returning to the quiet village after a long stint in London which left him drained, both physically and creatively. We were drawn to the playful yet intricate nature of Edward’s work, which presents simulated universes packed with pop culture references, mythology, and the reimagining of everyday objects. He told us about the joy he’s experienced leaving the city behind, and the big plans he and his mother have to produce stained glass artwork for the people of Burnham.
