Ana Cuba, previously picture editor at Amuse, makes photographs that sit within a diptych (or a pair) to create an otherwise unobvious bridge between images with no prior connection. Surreal landscapes and everyday objects ranging from yoga mats to plants come together to create a new layer of meaning. Most of her ideas emerge organically while shooting, as she reacts to light and color to find her subjects. WePresent spoke to Ana about the (frankly, often) occurrence of things not quite working out, and why this is an important part of the creative process.
