Lithuanian illustrator Akvile Magicdust creates parallel worlds where inter-species friendships and inter-planet relations are an everyday occurrence. In her colorful illustrations, animals and humans exchange deadpan conversations — “does mosquito repellent attract or repel ghosts?”, one asks. Her comic book “Tropical Wildchilds” was published in collaboration with WePresent and the East London Comic Arts Festival (ELCAF). Elsewhere, her paintings and installations have been exhibited in the Improper walls gallery in Vienna, Austria, Pamėnkalnio galerija Vilnius, Lithuania, and Junior High gallery in Los Angeles.
