Polish filmmaker and photographer Zuza Krajewska splits her time between Warsaw, London and New York. A lover of photography since her dad bought her a Zenith camera for her 15th birthday, Zuza has created work for PHOTO, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Glamour, Playboy, Elle and Men’s Health. Her editorial covers have won numerous awards, among them 2nd Grand Press Front, Glad KTR and Golden Eagle and her images have showed in individual and group exhibitions for Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw – CSW Zamek Ujazdowski, the National Museum in Warsaw, BWA Gallery in Sopot, BWA Gallery in Warsaw, BWA Gallery in Wroclaw and Raster Gallery in Warsaw. We featured Zuza’s work and interviewed her as part of the series Curated By Rankin, in which we asked the legendary photographer to select five up-and-coming image-makers whose work excited and inspired him. To him “she doesn’t chase some false idea of perfection. She has this ability to find beauty in unsuspecting places and the results are captivating and offbeat.” We agree.
