Yellow Days is the musical alias for George van den Droek, the London-based multi-instrumentalist trying to recapture the 1970s. Self-taught, George recorded and released his first EP “Harmless Memories” before relocating to his parents’ shed and focusing on music full time, signing with a label (first Good Years, then Columbia Records) and going on to release “Is Everything Okay In Your World?” in 2017. Attention, acclaim and tour dates all followed in response to what had been, to a point, a solitary process, but one that was always honest and often drew on his own struggles with mental health. WePresent caught up with George in his home to discuss his influences and the catalysts for how he creates.
