Willian Santiago was a Brazilian illustrator, graphic designer and professor. He grew up in a small town called Londrina in the south of Brazil, which was often present in his work. The culture of his home country was always central to Willian’s creations, incorporating its nature, history and diversity through bold and vibrant use of color and textures. Women also reigned in Willian’s personal work, something he attributed to growing up surrounded by strong female influences. Through his own illustration studio he collaborated with numerous brands including Natura, L’Occitane, Havaianas and Nestlé, and his work has been published all over the world. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Brazilian literary prize, Prêmio Jabuti. Willian passed away in May 2021 due to complications from Covid-19.
