Tomás Casademunt is an award-winning photographer from Barcelona, who is deeply inspired by the culture of Central America. Having worked as a photojournalist for a regional Catalonian newspaper in his younger years, Tomás has a keen eye for telling a story through his images. We were drawn to his project, “La Muerte En Al Altar,” which captured the tradition of Mexico’s Day of the Dead. In our interview, he explained how the series came together over the course of eight years. Tomas studied at Instituto de Estudios Fotográficos de Cataluña, and has published numerous photobooks.
