Born in 1989, Tim Allen is a photographer based in Melbourne. He works across editorial and commercial worlds, and has built a specialist reputation as an aerial photographer. We featured him on WePresent after discovering his project, Moving, in which he roamed the skies of Melbourne to document the impact of heavy industry on the land from above. In the feature, Tim walked us through each image, from coal mines to electricity stations. His editorial work has been published by ABC News, the Sunday Times, and the Brisbane Times, and his commercial clients include Airbnb, Panasonic and Booking.com.
“I’m always trying to communicate a certain message about the industrial age. I know that we are more in the information age, but with more and more resources that we need, we don’t realize what goes on in the background. We take a lot of things for granted”
