Thomas McCarty is a photographer based in New York. He shoots most of his images on film, and is known for a raw and natural style. He focuses mainly on fashion photography, but previous projects have also included political and social commentary, such as his “Follow the Leader” series which tracked Donald Trump’s rise to power. During Pride 2016, we collaborated with The Dots to showcase the next generation of LGBTQ creative talent making waves around the world – and Thomas was one of six picks. He studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and his clients include Vogue, W Magazine and Thom Browne.
“I try not to consider myself as a fashion photographer, but I think it’s a really interesting space for my work to live.”
