Born in Saigon in 1993, Thịnh Nguyễn is a Vietnamese animation filmmaker and designer. Currently based in Copenhagen, she creates films with limited animation style and naive character designs, but which have complex storytelling. Thịnh’s 2019 short film “Tom Has a Plant” – about a man who can’t decide whether to search for a better life – became an underground hit.
