The Penumbra Podcast is a bi-weekly audio drama created by Sophie Takagi Kaner and Kevin Vibert. The stories are fictional and are often in the sci-fi, noir or adventure genre, and the creators pride themselves on devising diverse characters. The heroes and villains of the series defy gender norms, span sexual identity, and live with mental illness or disabilities. We featured The Penumbra Podcast as part of our Through The Prism of Pride series, where we presented stories from LGBTQ+ communities around the world. The show is completely crowdfunded via Patreon, where it has over 1,000 patrons.
