Tea Uglow is the founder and Creative Director for Google's Creative Lab in Sydney—a collective of artists, filmmakers, designers, programmers and other creatives developing new ways for tech to enhance and inspire cultural works. A graduate of the the Ruskin School of Art at the University of Oxford, she has collaborated with organizations including the the Royal Shakespeare Company, the British Museum, and Punchdrunk; and in 2020, she published “Loud and Proud,” a collection of inspiring speeches delivered by members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. For WePresent, Uglow wrote an essay criticizing the current state of art world funding, and calling for more equitable models of artist support.
