Tabita Rezaire is a French Guyanese artist whose mesmerizing video art explores the intersection between technology and spirituality. She takes inspiration from trends, spirals of trends, and “like” culture to create powerful work intersected with her knowledge of love and healing. Much of her work seeks to investigate internet culture, while telling stories of Black creativity that are underappreciated in mainstream Western narratives. In our interview with Tabita, she spoke about what she feels is the main theme behind all of her work: connection. She’s held solo and group exhibitions around the world, and is a founding member of the artist group NTU.
