As the creative director at Penguin’s VINTAGE, Suzanne Dean is responsible for designing the covers for some of the greatest novels in the literary canon. She’s created sleeves for contemporary authors like Maggie Nelson and Elif Batumen, as well as modernized designs for classics like War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. In an interview with WePresent, we spoke to Suzanne about her work with Haruki Murakami, for whom she has crafted every book cover he’s released on VINTAGE.
