Born in Los Angeles, Susan Rogers is a record producer, engineer, mixer, and audio electronics technician, as well as a Professor of psychology. She taught herself the skills needed to become an audio technician after overhearing someone saying that it might be a secure career path to get on. Susan is most famous for her work as an engineer for the legendary musician Prince from 1983 to 1988, during which she helped to craft some of his finest albums. Later in her career, she went on to work with David Byrne, Tricky and Geggy Tah. We spoke to her about her illustrious life, and she told us about her experiences of working with some of the greatest musicians of all time.
