Standing on the Corner are a New York music collective led by vocalist/songwriter Gio Escobar and producer Jasper Marsalis. They released their self-titled debut album in 2016, which was praised by critics as an inventive blend of soul and jazz. Ahead of the release of their mixtape, “Red Burns,” we featured the band’s video for “Sah Babii /\ Now, Nation End” on WePresent, a fast-paced cartoon that delved into the band’s diverse inspirations and influences.
