Based in Amsterdam, Sophie Ebrard is a photographer and director. Her images are often cinematic and intimate, with a focus on telling stories about unseen worlds. We discovered her work via “The Dunk Elite,” a project in which she embedded herself in a community of basketball players who compete in slam dunk competitions. In an interview with WePresent, she spoke about how she immerses herself amongst her subjects and earns their trust in each project. Sophie has exhibited her work around the world, and was a winner at the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards in 2020.
