Shelly Oria is an Israeli-American writer whose works of fiction explore relationships, cultures, and gender. She’s the author of “New York 1, Tel Aviv 0,” which was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award. In 2016, WePresent partnered with the publisher McSweeney’s on a unique literary experience, commissioning Shelly and fellow author Alice Sola Kim to collaborate on a single story. The result was “Clean:” a gripping, apocalyptic and yet hopeful novella that is terribly hard to turn away from. Shelly is a creative curator and writing teacher, and has published work in the Paris Review, McSweeney's, Electric Lit, and more.
