Second Life Toys is the work of two Tokyo creatives, Akira Suzuki and Togo Kida. The project uses the parts of old donated toys to fix broken toys for their owners. It was originally brought to life to generate awareness for the low rates of organ transplant donations in Japan, but became a phenomenon in its own right. In our interview with the founders, they spoke about how the repaired toys can often seem even more beautiful than before they were broken.
