Sașa Staicu is a Russian-Romanian artist, and a graduate from the Glasgow School of Art. She specializes in creating imaginative comics that are inspired by everything from Soviet product designs to old Russian folk tales to obscure queer icons. When we interviewed Sașa, she spoke about how she combines the terrifying with the mundane to create her unique stories and images, and how she uses her comics as a way to connect with and accept the worrisome world. Sașa posts most of her work on Instagram, where she’s known as @famousfemaleartist.
