Ruth Hunduma is an Ethiopian-Australian writer, director, actor and poet. We featured her debut film, “A Band Apart”—her own take on Jean Luc Godard’s classic “Bande à part,” replacing the original’s white French leads with Black Londoners—which premiered at the 2023 London Independent Film Festival, where it won Best Short Film.
