Throughout her career, which spans more than two decades, firefighter Regina Wilson is one of few women and few people of color working with the New York Fire Department. But as the first female head of the Vulcan Society, an organization for Black firefighters, she’s also been a vocal advocate for both groups, taking a stand against gender and racial issues within the organization. Regina featured on WePresent as part of Notes from the Underground, an interview series featuring some of the most unusual creative minds working today. The series was curated by Dr Nelly Ben Hayoun, founder of the University of the Underground.
