Nick Sethi is an American photographer based in New York. In 2018, his debut publication, “Khichdi,” sold out within six months and was praised by the New York Times as one of the year’s best photo books. It charted 10 years of Nick’s life as he traveled back and forth to his family’s homeland of India, documenting the colorful and chaotic scenes he witnessed. We featured hundreds of images from the project on WePresent, alongside an interview in which he explained how he wanted the book to provide a visceral experience of a country he feels deeply connected to. Nick’s work has been featured in Elephant, It’s Nice That, Dazed & Confused and many more publications.
“It’s about being aware of what’s around you, and just practicing – there’s no goal. It’s literally just paying attention.”
