Nesa Iran

Nesa is a DJ, producer and founder of Deep House Tehran, a community platform at the forefront of Iran’s underground electronic music culture. She learned to DJ as a teenager before making her own songs and then moving into sound art. In 2018, she was the subject of a documentary made in collaboration between WeTransfer and the filmmaking duo Fiore & Bilic. The film followed Nesa around Tehran as she showed us the many ways the city’s sounds and atmosphere inspire her music, and the hope she has for the women of its music industry.
