Michaela Younge is a South African textile artist whose work centers around small tapestries depicting rather bizarre scenes. She describes her work as having an element of the Shakespearean “comedy of errors,” with ridiculous scenarios unfolding simultaneously—whether that’s a rooster getting arrested in a strip club or a headless skeleton taking part in a dating show. We invited Michaela to shed some light on her creative process and explain what she thinks is happening in some of her favorite works.
