Dr Merritt Moore has many strings to her bow, having established herself as an academic quantum physicist and a professional ballet dancer with the Zurich Ballet and the English National Ballet. She’s also turned her attention to AI, using her dancing experience to investigate robotic movement. It’s no surprise that she was included in Forbes’ “30 Under 30.” We featured her after she was chosen as one of the experts in Kia’s Creativity Hackathon, a project designed to encourage creativity in young people. In our interview, she outlined six rules for creativity, which included dealing with failure and looking for questions, not answers. Merritt was an artist-in-residence at Harvard ArtLab, and has been featured in TIME, the Financial Times, and Vogue.
