Maria Mavropoulou is a Greek visual artist whose practice spans photography, VR and screen-captured images, GAN and AI-generated images. Her work explores the meaning of images in our changing world, exploring topics such as digital identity, representation, algorithmic bias, network culture and our experiences in the online world. We featured her project “Imagined Images,” in which she used AI to create the family photo album she never had.
