Working as an animator and illustrator, Swedish-born Maria Fällström is one half of creative duo Words and Pals, a project with friend and former fellow Hyper Island student Alexandra Lund. Maria graduated from the Swedish creative business school Hyper Island alongside fellow animator Alexandra, and the pair challenged each other to make animations based on four letter word prompts. The results, featured on WePresent, were a collection of colorful and comical animations that became very popular on Instagram.
