The German artist Marc David Spengler is a hit on Instagram thanks to his mesmerizing hand drawings. Documenting his process quite openly online, Marc’s drawings begin like spontaneous doodles in a notepad. But as he adds more and more intricate patterns, geometric shapes, and beguiling shadows, his drawings transform into something quite special. We spoke to Marc about his love for spontaneity and interpretation, and how he lets his mind play on the page. Marc lives near Stuttgart, Germany, where he studied at The State Academy of Art and Design.
