Started in 2006 on the premise that magazines are a vital cog in the machine of modern culture, magCulture is a website, shop, events producer and editorial consultancy firm that celebrates historical and contemporary magazines. Their shop in London, opened in 2015, has been described by Creative Review as “The spiritual home of independent publishing.” WeTransfer and magCulture collaborated on a unique podcast about magazine culture, which looked at some of the biggest and best publications on the planet, and explored the story of how they began and what makes them tick.
