Lo Def Film Factory is a South Africa Based art-making initiative founded by artists Amy Louise Wilson and Francois Knoetze. Known for their experimental work and archival research, the initiative is centered around the belief that the messages and ideas behind a project are far more important than its production values. We featured their film “DZATA: The Institute of Technological Consciousness,” which reimagines Africa’s place in the planet’s historic technopolitical landscape.
