Based in Katong, Leng Soh is a Singaporean artist, sculptor, and art director. What began as a hobby nine years ago quickly became an obsession, and Leng reduced her working week (as an art director for Singapore creative agency Kinetic) so that she could dedicate time to being a ceramicist. Drawn to the craft for its tactility, ceramics allow Leng to articulate her thoughts and emotions using only her bare hands. The results succeed in being simultaneously delicate and robust, poignant and powerful. With her design of “Entanglement” as the catalyst, Leng spoke to WePresent about how her jobs compliment one another and how she’s seen her practice evolve over the years.
“I’m able to somehow articulate my thoughts and emotions through ceramics.”
