Laurie Broughton found photography in his mid-twenties, having more or less floated between hospitality and butchery beforehand. Inspired during a family trip walking the Camino Portugués to Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage. He moved from London to south Wales to study the prestigious documentary photography course at the University of South Wales. We featured his project “Clwb,” in which he documents the recreational clubs that keep a sense of resilience, belonging and heritage alive in the south Wales valleys.
