Karolin Klüppel is a German photographer based in Berlin. Her work has been exhibited all over the world from Bogotá to Berlin, and received numerous awards. A member of “Women Photograph,” Karolin’s work explores female identity and matriarchal communities. We spoke to Karolin about her award-winning photo series “Mädchenland” (or land of girls), in which she photographed the indigenous people of the Khasi - a matrilineal society.
