Splitting her time between Paris and Bogotá, Karen Paulina Biswell is a French-Colombian photographer. We featured her series “Nama Bu,” an ongoing portrait of a group of Emberá Chamí people, on WePresent. Shot in El Hotel Dorantes, located in the oldest part of Bogotá, “Nama Bu” pictures a culture that threatens to disappear as the Emberá Chamí people are forced to leave their land and move to cities.
