Kaplamino, or Mathieu Carillat, is a filmmaker based in Paris. He is best known for his mesmerizing chain reaction videos, amassing tens of millions of views and hundreds of thousands of subscribers on YouTube. Mathieu spends hours and hours building and filming elaborate chain reactions in his own space. He spoke to us about his process and how it feels when videos like “The Blue Marble” and “Magnets and Marbles” fall into place.
