The grandson of British immigrants to what was previously the colony of Rhodesia, Zimbabwean photographer Jono Terry was born seven years after Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980. He’s spent recent years using his work to explore his contentious place as a white man in Africa, as he questions his home country’s complex past in an attempt to understand its present.
