Jasper Doest is a Dutch wildlife photographer based in Amsterdam. His award-winning images have contributed to international publications including National Geographic Magazine and Smithsonian Magazine. With his work, Jasper is “trying to bridge the gap between the natural world and ourselves,” and he’s lectured on photography, conservation and global sustainability all over the world. As part of our annual collaboration with World Press Photo, we featured his project about how a flamingo named Bob became his muse and what they are both doing in the name of conservation.
