Jacolby Satterwhite is an artist who grew up in Brooklyn, New York. When he was a child his mother developed schizophrenia and began drawing things she had invented. Encouraged by her, Satterwhite too began drawing. He studied painting at art school and earned a reputation for his inquisitive, medium-bending style of work which is exhibited in MoMa. His art has been selected by Solange as part of her guest curatorship for WePresent.
