Egyptian photographer and visual researcher Heba Khamis has made it her mission to document social issues that are often taboo or overlooked by the mainstream. On WePresent, Heba opened up to us about her “Black Birds” series: Shot over the course of six months, it highlighted the plight of undocumented young refugees working as male prostitutes in Berlin’s Tiergarten park.
