Haneul Lee is a South Korean photographer whose work explores the relationship between people, identity, and their environments. Working primarily with portrait photography, she observes how faces and social perception are shaped by historical context and generational memory. We featured her project “Big Bang,” made up of portraits of strangers that capture the many lives unfolding in Okinawa as its complex past continues to echo through generations.
