Born in Australia and now based in New York, Hana Tanimura is a designer and art director with Google Creative Lab, the tech giant’s interdisciplinary innovation playground. Her mission, as she puts it, is to make “good things with good people, for good causes,” and her past projects have included a mobile education site for newly arrived refugees, a digital toy to teach kids computational thinking, and a dictionary that translates tech jargon into everyday examples. Hana featured on WePresent in 2016 as part of Championing Diversity, a collaborative series with The Dots to showcase the next generation of LGBTQ+ creative talent making waves around the world.
